2019 – PRESENT

Senior Director

Design Thinking & Education, Design Strategy, Genesys

Two goals have driven the work of the Design Strategy team since its inception:

  1. Accelerate successful business outcomes through design thinking to orchestrate experiences via consults, sessions, and workshops.
  2. Increase the value of every employee in the company by educating and activating them in the practice of design thinking, empowering them with skills in empathetic collaboration.

Over the past four years, my team has led strategic projects in every major function of the company. We created a bespoke design thinking practice and activated over 5,200 employees as Explorers, Practitioners, Coaches, and Champions of Genesys Design Thinking.

2016 – 2019

Program Director

Design Adoption Framework, IBM Services

I led the development and delivery of the Design Adoption Framework. This framework helped companies adopt human-centered design practices, organization-wide, enabling outstanding user experiences and repeatable outcomes at scale.

I started as the offering Strategy Lead, delivering on the first design adoption client engagement with AT&T. I subsequently took over leadership of the offering, built the playbook, crafted the bill of materials, and enabled other IBM design leaders to co-lead client engagements.

2015 – 2016

Design Practice Manager

Core Team—Practices, IBM Design

As part of the Practices Team at IBM Design, I mentored design team leads, educated early career and industry new hires, and created systems to articulate and improve the practice of design at a global scale. This included contributions to creating IBM Design Thinking (now known as Enterprise Design Thinking) and the Practice of User Experience Design.

2011 – 2015

Creative Director

Consumer Digital Experience, AT&T

I led a team of 38 designers and producers located in Seattle, WA, Atlanta, GA, and Austin, TX. The team focused on both consumer and b2b digital merchandising efforts. We created and managed product launches, seasonal campaigns, upper funnel sales UI, design systems, lead generation, and social experiences while coordinating efforts with brand management and external agency partners.
